Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan (TULM) Open Joint Stock Company together with the Demirýollary (Railways) Open Joint Stock Company have developed special timetables for the new express freight train service within Turkmenistan, with which it is also possible to order complex transport-logistics services, including different stages of transportation.
TULM representative told the Business Turkmenistan on Wednesday that on September 12 this year, the companies successfully organized the pilot transportation of the express train on the route Samandepe-Turkmenbashi port. The train, consisting of 40 wagons, arrived at the Turkmenbashi International Seaport within 3 days.
The companies offer cargo shipment using a new service along the Soltanbent-Turkmenbashi port, Samandepe-Turkmenbashi port, Samandepe-Sarakhs, Turkmenbashi-Farap dry port, and Ruhybelent-Turkmenbashi port routes.
In April, TULM has facilitated the transportation of the first Turkey-Uzbekistan express freight train through the territory of Turkmenistan.
TULM OJSC was established in July 2018. The company was created in order to effectively use the possibilities of international transport corridors passing through Turkmenistan, to help increase the volume of transit goods, and to develop logistics solutions for the delivery of transit, import-export cargo from the consignor to the consignee.
