Agricultural producers in Turkmenistan’s Lebap velayat have exported 4,700 tons of tomatoes since the beginning of 2021, the country’s official media reported on Tuesday.
The Turkmen tomatoes were reportedly exported to Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The veIayat’s businesses exported 4,974 tons of tomatoes to foreign countries in 2020.
Agricultural producers in Lebap velayat also increased their export of other food products. In particular, from the beginning of 2020 to the present day, more than 4 thousand tons of beans and 190 thousand tons of mung bean have been exported to countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Agricultural producers in Turkmenistan in January-April 2021 increased their output of vegetables by 26.7% compared to the same period in 2020.
