The sellers from Turkmenistan can now trade on Amazon, a major US e-commerce platform. The company has updated the list of countries whose sellers can register for selling on the platform.
Besides Turkmenistan, other Central Asian states – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan – are also included in the updated list.
To sell goods on the website, users must be residents of the indicated countries, have a valid phone number and an internationally chargeable payment card.
Established in 1994 by Jeff Bezos, Amazon is the world's largest e-commerce and public cloud computing platform by revenue and market capitalization. In 2021′s first quarter, Amazon revenue exceeded $108.5 billion.
