Balkanabat’s Compressor Stations Pump Over 960 mcm of Natural Gas

Gas compressor stations in Balkanabat sent to consumers 961.082 million cubic meters of natural gas during the first quarter of this year.

The gas compressor stations of Balkanabat Gas Collection and Supply Department located in the Balkan velayat procured and sent to consumers 961.082 million cubic meters of natural gas during the first quarter of this year.

Specialists of the department’s Barsagelmez gas compressor unit, working on the Barsagelmez field of ​​the Balkan velayat, provide oil wells operating via gas lift method with sufficient quantities of natural gas, the online newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan reported on Wednesday.

Since the beginning of this year, 376,598 million cubic meters of natural gas have been procured and sent to the wells at the field. This resulted in the production of over 119 thousand tons of oil in the field.

At the beginning of this year, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in a solemn ceremony of commissioning a new gas compressor station at the Malay field in Charjev etrap. The station is capable of pumping up to 30 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year.
