The representatives of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan and Bpifrance, a French investment bank, held online talks on Wednesday. The parties discussed the possibility of establishing cooperation in investment and financial spheres with the participation of Turkmen and French companies.
During the online talks, the representatives of the Bpifrance presented in detail the range of their activities, and the Turkmen side presented investment projects in which French companies can take part, the official media of Turkmenistan reports.
Following the online meeting, the parties agreed to explore the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Cooperation, and also expressed mutual interest in continuing a constructive dialogue.
Bpifrance was created in January 2013 with the aim of stimulating economic growth through lending to small and medium-sized businesses. The bank provides financing to both large state-owned enterprises and small private businesses.
