The share of the non-state sector in Turkmenistan's GDP presently stands at 70%.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a government meeting on Friday instructed the heads of the country's trade complex, in accordance with the anti-crisis program for 2020-2021, to accelerate the development of a draft program to increase export volumes and create factories producing import-substituting products for 2021-2025, TDH news agency reports.
Turkmen President also instructed to continue measures to support small and medium-sized businesses, promote the further development of the national economy’s private sector, create a modern business sphere, provide methodological support in increasing the volume of exported products, as well as in finding new markets and ways to sell domestic products.
The Head of State said the share of the non-state sector in GDP presently stands at 70%, and that in 2021 it is expected to increase this figure to 70.6%.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the heads of the trade complex to prepare the draft program for consideration at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the results of the first quarter of this year.
