Turkmen Cotton-Spinning Mill Produces 31 Million Manats Worth of Products
Turkmen cotton yarn is in high demand among companies in the UAE, Turkey and other countries.
Cotton-spinning mill in Turkmenabat, the administrative center of Turkmenistan’s Lebap velayat, last year produced over 31.74 million manats worth of products instead of the planned products worth 27.609 million manats, fulfilling the production plan by 115%.
According to Türkmen Gündogary newspaper’s Thursday issue, the plant exported 80% of its cotton yarn to Russia, Great Britain, Turkey, Poland in 2020.
Domestic cotton yarn is in high demand among companies in the UAE, Turkey and other countries. Textile products are also one of the most popular goods on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of the country.
The mill produced a total of 3,337 tons of high-quality cotton yarn last year.
