Foreign businesses purchased cotton and denim fabrics, cotton yarn and colorless sheet glass for foreign currency.
The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $10.346 million, TDH news agency reported on Saturday.
According to TDH, businesses from the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan purchased cotton and denim fabrics, cotton yarn and colorless sheet glass for foreign currency.
In addition, companies based in China, the UAE, Germany and Afghanistan bought petroleum coke, aviation kerosene, diesel fuel, hydrotreated diesel fuel, and motor gasoline produced at at Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries for foreign currency. High-density polyethylene produced at Türkmengaz State Concern was purchased by businesses from Russia, the UAE, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
Representatives of business circles from the UAE, Turkey, Afghanistan purchased carpets, a solution of povidone-iodine and cotton yarn for over 12.986 million manats.
State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 41 transactions last week.
