Turkmen wheat flour of the high and first grades is currently enriched with Premix food additive, consisting of a mixture of folic acid and ferrous sulfate.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during an online working meeting on Monday signed a document on the conclusion of an additional agreement with UNICEF on procurement of Premix food additive, TDH news agency reports.
The signed document authorizes the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan to conclude an additional agreement with the UNICEF for the purchase of the Premix for addition to wheat flour produced in 2021.
A long-term Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Government of Turkmenistan and UNICEF, on the basis of which the domestic wheat flour of the high and first grades is currently enriched with Premix food additive, consisting of a mixture of folic acid and ferrous sulfate.
The Head of State stressed that Turkmenistan will continue paying close attention to quality and safety of food production and active introduction of the principles of healthy life style.
