Foreign companies purchased colorless sheet glass, one-colored and jacquard terry products, and cotton yarn for foreign currency.
The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $29 million.
According to the Turkmenistan’s Golden Age news outlet’s Saturday report, businesses from the U.K, the United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, Singapore and Afghanistan purchased aviation and lighting kerosene, and fuel oil produced by the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) for foreign currency.
In addition, companies based in Russia, the U.S, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan purchased colorless sheet glass, one-colored and jacquard terry products, and cotton yarn for foreign currency.
Businesses from Great Britain, Switzerland, the U.A.E, Turkey, Singapore and Afghanistan purchased hand-made carpets, sodium chloride and glucose solutions, cotton yarn for manat funds. The total amount of transactions amounted to around 13 million manats.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased polypropylene produced by Türkmengaz State Concern, petroleum bitumen produced by TCOR and hand-made carpets in the amount of over 46.649 million manats.
State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 109 transactions last week.
