Chambers of commerce and industry of Turkmenistan and Belarus held online business talks on Wednesday. The talks mainly focused on ways to strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
During online consultations, the parties expressed their readiness to develop cooperation in different areas, including industry, agriculture, transport and logistics. The sides also discussed creation of favorable conditions for contacts between businesses of the two countries.
The event provided a platform for analyzing the current state of bilateral cooperation, assessing the prospects for the Turkmen-Belarusian trade and economic partnership and putting forward proposals to increase mutual trade.
The online meeting was also attended by representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, who made a presentation of their economic achievements.
Trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Belarus amounted to $21.2 million in January-July this year.
