An Exhibition of Economic Achievements of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the 29th anniversary of the Independence Day (September 27), kicked off at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat on Saturday.
Representatives of the economy’s public sector, sport and tourism organizations, and local private business enterprises attend the exhibition.
The exhibition presents Turkmenistan’s achievements in energy, oil and gas, construction, transport, communications, textile, chemical industry, agriculture and medical industry during its independence years at more than 70 stands.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent a greeting to the participants of the exhibition.
“We will continue implementing economic reforms, ensuring dynamic development of the country. We will strive for the main goal – to bring Turkmenistan up to the level of a number of highly developed states of the world,” President Berdimuhamedov said in the greeting.
The exhibition runs on Saturday until 18:00, and on Sunday until 17:00.
