Turkmen producer of socks exported about 570,000 pairs of socks under the Akar trademark in January-July of this year. The main export destinations of the products are Russia and Kazakhstan, State Customs Service of Turkmenistan reported on Tuesday.
Entrepreneur Serdar Annakov's enterprise, located at industrial zone in Ak Bugday etrap of Turkmenistan’s Ahal velayat, is equipped with modern Italian machinery. The company produces 500,000 pairs of socks per month.
Serdar Cotton Yarn Factory in Kaka etrap supplies the plant with necessary raw materials on a contract basis.
The sock production facility, which employs around 100 people, was built and commissioned in 2018.
