In recent years, the Japanese business circles have expressed interest in expanding cooperation in the implementation of joint projects with Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan’s Türkmengaz State Concern and the Japanese Kawasaki Heavy Ind. Ltd. reviewed the implementation of the project of second phase of gas-to-gasoline (GTG) plant in the Ahal velayat of Turkmenistan, online newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan reported on Thursday.
Representatives of Türkmengaz and the Managing Executive Officer of the Japanese company Tatsuya Watanabe discussed the project during an online meeting on August 26.
According to the report, in recent years, representatives of the Japanese business circles have expressed interest in expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the implementation of projects in the fields of petrochemicals, electricity and construction materials.
In October last year, Türkmengaz State Concern and Japanese companies Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. and Sojitz Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding to design and build the second phase of the GTG plant in Turkmenistan.
