The socks under the Akar brand are exported to such countries as Russia, Kazakhstan and England.
Entrepreneur Serdar Annakov's enterprise, located at industrial zone in Ak Bugday etrap of Turkmenistan’s Ahal velayat, produces 500,000 pairs of different types of socks a month under the Akar trademark. The products are designed both for the local market and for export. The socks under the Akar brand are exported to such countries as Russia, Kazakhstan and England.
The production workshops of the enterprise are equipped with modern Italian machinery. The plant’s knitting workshop includes 150 modern knitting machines of the Matec Silver and Lonati brands, which are used in the production of socks for men, women and children, the Turkmen State Publishing Service reported on Wednesday.
Serdar Cotton Yarn Factory in Kaka etrap supplies the plant with necessary raw materials on the basis of the agreement.
The sock production facility, which employs around 100 people, was built and commissioned in 2018.
