Turkmenistan will reconstruct the existing cold storage facilities that are designed to store 4,450 tons of products.
Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan will receive a loan to finance the construction and reconstruction of a number of cold storage facilities, TDH reported on Friday.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the relevant Resolution during a video conference meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday.
According to the document, the Daýhanbank State Commercial Bank at the expense of the Central Bank’s funds was ordered to allocate credit funds to finance the construction and reconstruction of cold storage facilities.
In order to provide the population with vegetable products year-round, in Ahal velayat’s Baherden etrap and in Balkan velayat’s Serdar etrap, it is planned to build new cold storage facilities with a capacity of 2,000 tons each and to reconstruct the existing ones that are designed to store 4,450 tons of products.
In the Program for socio-economic development of Turkmenistan for 2020-2025, at the first stage it is planned to construct cold storage facilities with a capacity of 53 thousand tons of products in the city of Ashgabat and velayats of the country.
