Construction of 69 various production facilities are underway at the industrial zone of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan in Ahal velayat’s Ak Bugday etrap. On 33 of them, construction work is at the final stage, Turkmenistan newspaper reported on Thursday.
According to the report, dozens more production facilities are planned to be built at the industrial zone.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in January 2012 signed a decree on the establishment of an industrial zone covering over 260 hectares in Ak Bugday etrap.
Land plots in the industrial zone were allocated based on Dovletnama, which grants the right to use the site for agricultural, construction and other purposes, and by the decision of the State Commission for the Support of Small and Medium Enterprises.
The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan was established on March 17, 2008 and in 2009, Turkmenistan adopted the law "On State Support of Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship". Turkmenistan also developed its state program for the Support of Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship, and established a special State Commission in this area.
