President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during his official visit to Japan, held a meeting with Emperor Naruhito. The two sides discussed prospects for enhancing bilateral relations, with a particular focus on attracting cutting-edge Japanese technologies to Turkmenistan.
According to Turkmenistan’s official media on Tuesday, priority areas identified for potential cooperation include power generation, the oil and gas and chemical industries, construction, transport, and agriculture. These sectors, President Berdimuhamedov noted, are actively embracing innovative solutions and remain open to expanding international partnerships.
The discussions focused on opportunities for collaboration in renewable energy, information technology, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
On the same day, President Berdimuhamedov also met with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.
