On the international stage, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan demonstrate a high level of interaction on key global agenda issues. This statement came during a phone conversation between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.
Parties identified several priority areas for cooperation, including the preservation and assurance of universal and regional security, the implementation of sustainable development goals, ecology and water resource management, as well as several other relevant topics, as reported by official media of Turkmenistan on Wednesday.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the success of the interaction between the two countries, emphasizing that it has gained momentum in recent years and encompasses an increasing number of areas.
During the conversation, both sides acknowledged that bilateral relations are on the rise and that contacts at the governmental, diplomatic, and departmental levels have become regular.
Earlier, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a phone conversation, during which they paid special attention to water and environmental issues.
