President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent deep condolences to President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping regarding the earthquake in Tibet Autonomous Region of China at the border with Nepal and India which caused numerous human casualties and injuries, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Tuesday.
At this difficult time, the head of state expressed heartfelt condolences and words of comfort on behalf of the people and government of Turkmenistan, as well as in his own name, to the relatives and loved ones of those who lost their lives, wishing a speedy recovery to those suffering.
A magnitude 6.8 earthquake shook a mountainous region in western China on Tuesday morning, killing at least 126 people and injuring 188 others, the Chinese state news agency Xinhua reported.
The Chinese government has provided support and assistance to those affected by the earthquake. Additionally, residents of the capital of Nepal experienced strong tremors too.
