President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed condolences to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev following the crash of an Azerbaijan's passenger plane in Aktau, which resulted in numerous human casualties, as reported by the news program Watan habarlary.
On behalf of the people and the Government of Turkmenistan, as well as personally, the head of state conveyed words of sincere sympathy and support to the relatives and friends of the victims during this difficult time.
On December 25, a passenger plane, Embraer 190, crashed at the airport in the Kazakh city of Aktau while flying from Baku to Grozny. This aviation disaster resulted in several passengers losing their lives.
Among the passengers were citizens of Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
President Ilham Aliyev declared December 26 a day of mourning in Azerbaijan due to the plane crash in Aktau.
