Representatives of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation’s Astrakhan oblast held a virtual meeting on Thursday to discuss the possibilities of intensifying bilateral trade turnover.
According to the Turkmenistan’s Golden Age news outlet, the meeting was attended by the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), and the management of the Astrakhan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Russian Federation).
The meeting participants discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Astrakhan region. The parties paid special attention to the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the fields of trade and stock exchange activities, expressing particular interest in the supply of products manufactured in Turkmenistan.
In particular, the Astrakhan-based Grand Fish LLC presented its assortment of varieties of wheat and other grain crops available for export. In turn, representatives of the UIET presented a video catalogue of agricultural and textile products.
The parties also exchanged views on the supply of textile goods, yarn and cotton products of Turkmen production to Astrakhan oblast.
