The meeting participants discussed the key aspects of bilateral ties in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Representatives of Turkmenistan and Egypt held a video conference meeting in the framework of the preparations to the meeting of the Turkmen-Egyptian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation on Wednesday, Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan said in its statement.
The meeting gathered the heads and representatives of the ministries and institutions working in the fields of trade, finance and foreign economic relations, oil and gas sectors, and the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries. The heads of the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and Egypt also attended the meeting.
The meeting participants discussed the key aspects of bilateral ties in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The sides noted the importance of mutual visits of the Heads of State of both countries, adding that such visits will serve as a vital link in the promotion of Turkmen-Egyptian relations.
The parties exchanged views on the level of trade-economic relations and the impact of the pandemic on global economy. The officials considered opportunities for the development of cooperation on priority areas, including in the trade and investments, oil and gas.
The participants also discussed possibilities of expanding cooperation between the business circles of the two countries and the opportunities for the intensification of collaboration in the area of scientific diplomacy.
