Turkmenistan has approved construction standards for cottage-style residential houses. These regulations were established following the directive issued by the Minister of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan on March 18, 2024, under Order No. 42, titled "Cottage-Type Residential Houses," and TGK 2.08.14-2024.
These standards establish a set of mandatory requirements, including safety regulations, regardless of the specific use, organizational system, and construction materials used in cottage-type residential houses.
Compliance with these requirements is mandatory for all individuals and legal entities, regardless of their departmental subordination, forms of ownership, and financing, engaged in the development of project documentation for residential buildings.
According to the approved document, these rules apply to single-family houses with a height of no more than three floors (with attic and basement floors), as well as newly constructed and reconstructed houses with replacement of side walls.
