Kompozitenergo Economic Society increased production of fiberglass fittings (composite reinforcement materials) used in the construction of electric power facilities.

A production line with a capacity of up to 10 thousand tons of fiberglass fitting has been installed at the company’s plant of reinforced concrete products located in the Buzmeyin etrap of Ashgabat. Kompozitenergo has already produced more than 400 tons of the building material, which is used in the construction of various facilities, including transmission towers.

Depending on the application, the fittings made from fiberglass can be impregnated with epoxy, polyester or polyester vinyl resins, which give it special properties, including strength and resistance to chemically aggressive or aqueous environments.

Samples of the composite fittings have been successfully tested at the Research Institute of Earthquake-Resistant Structures. The enterprise had received a certificate of conformity and a safety certificate, approved the cost calculation of a new fiberglass material and is developing standards for its use.

Kompozitenergo Economic Society launched the production of fiberglass fittings at the beginning of the year.
