The video conference meeting at the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan with representatives of the Netherlands-based Damen Shipyards on Thursday addressed issues of strengthening trade and economic relations.

The heads of the Türkmendeňizderýaýollary (Turkmen Sea and River ways) agency also attended the meeting.

Turkmenistan is interested in applying the experience of leading European companies with modern technologies and scientific and technological innovations. In this context, the meeting participants considered the possibilities of cooperation with Damen Shipyards Gorinchem, which specializes in the design and construction of different types of ships, from tugboats to luxury yachts.

The sides confirmed the mutual desire to establish long-term cooperation and discussed specific areas of partnership and prospects for implementing joint projects in relevant industries, including in the shipbuilding industry.
