During the meeting, the Herat Governor informed that the businesses of Herat want to expand economic relations with Turkmenistan.
The Consul General of Turkmenistan in Afghanistan’s Herat city Gochmyradov Aymyrat in a meeting with the Herat province’s Governor Noor Ahmed Islam jar expressed the Turkmen side’s interest in importing marbles from the province.
The meeting was also attended by the head and members of the Herat Industrialists’ Union, the state-run news agency of Afghanistan Bakhtar reported on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the Herat Governor described the economic and industrial capacities of the province and informed that the businesses of Herat want to expand economic relations with Turkmenistan.
The members of Herat Industrialists’ Union expressed hope that Turkmenistan will import a part of its marble needs from Herat, due to the high quality of marble in Cheesht Sharif district.
For his part, the Consul General assured the interest of Turkmen business entities in increasing economic cooperation with Herat.
