Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in January-September 2022 saw a year-on-year increase of 128.1 percent and reached $328.2 million, Kazakhstan’s Finprom.kz business and finance analytical portal reported on Monday.
During the period, Turkmen exports to Kazakhstan grew by 127.1 percent y-o-y to $82.3 million. At the same time, Turkmenistan imported from Kazakhstan $245.8 million worth of products, which is 128.5 percent more compared to the same period last year.
In January-September of this year, the trade turnover of Kazakhstan with the countries of Central Asia saw a y-o-y increase of 29.9 percent, reaching $5.6 billion.
Uzbekistan accounts for almost two-thirds of all Kazakhstan’s trade with Central Asian countries. Kazakhstan’s trade with Uzbekistan in the first nine months of 2022 reached $3.5 billion, a y-o-y increase of 32.9 percent.
