At the booster compressor station (BCS), which is under construction at the Malay gas field in Turkmenistan’s northeastern velayat of Lebap, commissioning works are underway. The capacity of the BCS is 30 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
The facility’s infrastructure includes blocks A and B of the booster compressor station. The facility also includes control and technical center, and a closed switchgear.
In order to increase the export of Turkmen natural gas, Türkmengaz State Concern signed a contract with the British company Petro Gas LLP for the construction of an infrastructure communications facility in 2018.
More than 672.6 million manats was allocated for the project. Currently, the general contractor has provided more than 95% of the funds and equipment based on the design and estimate documentation, of which commissioning works account for more than 5%.
The commissioning of a new gas compressor unit at the Malay gas field will contribute to an increase in export of natural gas.
