Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan will host on April 14 a meeting to discuss the issues of Turkmenistan's accession to 8 international agreements aimed at strengthening effective partnership in the field of transport.
The meeting in Ashgabat will gather representatives of ministries and industry departments of Turkmenistan and the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
For Turkmenistan, expansion of cooperation with the UNECE and the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (ESCAP) is an important aspect of development of relations with the United Nations. The country cooperates with these organizations in various areas on a systematic basis.
The country also pays special importance to modernization of transport infrastructure in Eurasia and to creation and efficient operation of transit and transport corridors.
The video conference meeting with the participation of representatives of ministries and industry departments of Turkmenistan and the representatives of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) will also be held on April 16.
The main purpose of the conference is to exchange experience in the field of copyright protection and teaching the basics of intellectual property in universities.
