European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) approved $1.8 million in loans for Turkmenistan-based Ak-Hünji Individual Enterprise, according to the bank’s Project Summary Document (PSD) issued on Monday.
The EBRD said the loan is allocated to support the company’s expansion, adding that it “will help Ak Hunji start exports sales to neighboring countries.”
Ak-Hünji produces over 60 types of decorative profiles and sandwich panels. The company also manufactures over 200 types of architectural elements for the exterior of buildings. The bulk of production of the company consists of sandwich panels, which significantly reduce the load on the foundation during construction.
The main raw materials for production are purchased from South Korea, Hungary, China, according to the Ak-Hünji’s official website.
Ak-Hünji, established in 2009, is a leading producer of decorative profiles and sandwich panels in Turkmenistan. The enterprise employs over 85 people.
