President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers instructed to compile a list of enterprises that need to be granted deferral of tax and loan payments.
During the meeting, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Gadyrgeldi Mushshikov, who oversees economy and finance sector, the Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Silap Velbegov and the Minister of Finance and Economy Ezizgeldi Annamuhammedov gave briefings.
After the briefing, the Head of State instructed Vice-Premier Mushshikov to constantly monitor the economic situation, and to conduct as soon as possible a detailed analysis of the expected results of the country's socio-economic development based on the current situation.
The President also instructed the relevant officials to prepare proposals for the revision of the State budget and budget expenditures, and submit them to the Cabinet of Ministers for consideration.
President Berdimuhamedov placed particular emphasis on the necessity to develop prompt and medium-term measures to reduce the negative impact of the instability in the global economy due to the coronavirus epidemic.
In this regard, the President instructed to expand the programme on lending to small and medium-sized enterprises and review the deadlines of the payment of taxes.
Turkmen President noted the need to find additional sources of financing for the implementation of the adopted programmes, instructed to work out the issue of attracting investments in the economy, and take a responsible approach to solving the set tasks.
